MAUSOLEUM

Video games have always served as an alternative mode of connection and experience. This is particularly true during this unexpected pandemic. These virtual worlds provide modes of communication, social gatherings, as well as organic encounters that may very well function as an extension of our day to day engagements.
This work focuses on communication and identification though the game character. 3D scanning and motion capture technologies featured generate a life like character model of the artist himself, opening channels for alternative relationships between the work and player. This work sits within an extended history of video game media that has sought to create encounters and connections.
